There was a man who was shipwrecked on a

deserted island and he prayed and prayed everyday

that the Lord would save him.. after some time

had past hebuilt himself a hut to shelter himself &

to store his valuables in. One day when he was out

in search of food he returned home to find his hut

on fire. And he asked the Lord how could you do

this to me? .. he lost everything .. all his valuables.. .

he cried & went to sleep. The next morning a ship

came by and picked him up. He asked them, how

did you find me? They said we saw your smoke

signal.

Is your hut on fire?

We also rejoice in our sufferings,

because we know that suffering produces

perseverence:

perseverance, character; and character, hope.

And hope does

not disappoint us, because God has poured

out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit,

whom he has given us.

Give thanks to the Lord for he is good

and his love endures forever...
